I need to remove my seat in my 2002 superduty and the seat bolts (bucket seats) have large flat torx head screws. I picked up a T55 which was the only one that seems to fit but it's quite loose. A T 60 is too big. Do these torx bolts use a special bit? I don't want to strip them.

T55 is the correct size. It isn't a loose fit but not a snug one either.
The seat bolt heads are a variation called Torx Plus. The shape of the recess is slightly different from the standard Torx. Most people are able to get the seat bolts out with a regular Torx, but have to be careful not to strip out the head because of the looseness mentioned in the above post. So many Torx Plus fasteners on the Superduty caused me to buy a set to keep on hand. Bought them off Amazon - OTC brand.
Truth is, it takes a Torx Plus bit. It's a T55, but the teeth are of a different size or angle or something that's supposed to give them a more positive grip. They are difficult to find, especially in single bits. Here's one of the few places you can get single bits at a reasonable price, even though shipping is more than one bit! Thanks everyone. I did find a reference to the seat belt bolt and it was listed as a torx plus. I looked for one but only found them from Snap on for $28.00 for one bit. Ouch! I'll check the post listed for the bit
