Bed pan leak

Bed pan leak
Was up under my truck yesterday checkin out the exhaust and seeing what was going to be involved in swapping it with my new one and low and behold there was oil on the bell housing 
. Started fumbling around under the truck to see were it was coming from and just gave up as i couldnt really see much. Took it to the shop this morning and they gave me then news..... bed pan is the source of stray oil. said it would be roughly a 3 day job, block removal, fixing the leak, then reinstallion. good thing i went with the extended warranty, dont really have 100$ to just give to them but it beats what it would cost without a warranty. Anybody else had this problem?? pics of what i found are attached in the link.

Welcome to FTE. Check out the 6.0 section, there is a recent topic on bed plate leak and alot of good info pertaining to ways of repairing etc. Mine leaks just a drip, never enough to even get on the driveway, it doesnt concern me.

preciate it man, yeh mine wasnt leaving marks on the driveway either, i would have never know bout it if hadnt been under there yesterday. i figured ide go ahead and get it fixed while it didnt cost me a lot, or before it turned into a more serious leak.
