2000 Ford Excursion V10 Cruise Control Problem Please Help

I Have a 00 Ford Excursion with a v10 the cruise went out over a year ago and then shorty after the motor broke 3 conecting rods. about a month ago I put a motor in it and the cruise still dont work. i also put a cruise unit in it and still nothing. is there a way to test this or anything? any thing will help because my family and I are planing to drive it from nebraska to disney world this summer please and thank you

I think it might be part of a recall they had check this link or more info. Mine caught on fire so be careful. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...e-working.html

mine has already been fixed that was one of the first things i checked

Did the dealer fix it under the recall? If it was a dealer repair they may only have put a pigtail between the old plug and the switch. If the switch wasn't leaking at the time it was just the pigtail put in.
