Cruise Control Not Working

Cruise Control Not Working
2000 4X4 V10 EXCURSION XLT with Hydro boost brakes.
1st I figured it was the brake pressure switch on the master cylinder. So I waited to fix it until I got my new hydro boost system installed with a new brake switch. DANG Cruise still does not work.
SO:
The cruise light in instrument cluster comes on when you push the "ON" button for cruise.
Nothing else happens when the set/accel, resume, or coast is pushed.
I did the procedures in:

RESULTS:
the cruise light flashes once when the "on" switch is pushed
ZERO FLASHES when all other buttons are pushed.
If I try pushing the "on" button again during the test no flash....but it does flash once at the start of the test.
So I guess its the servo, or right side switches??
Suggestions?

I inspected the servo and it is severely corroded and must have gotten water in it at some point as it was cracked too.
Put a used servo in and cruise works now but the odd thing is the light in instrument panel does not light up at all now.
What could cause that!!!

In engine compartment on passenger side fender, next to battery. It has a black plastic coated cable coming out of it that goes to throttle body.
