fuel filter
I have did a search for this question and find nothing. On a 2010 F-150 5.4 litre gas engine I see in the owners manual where they recommend various changes of things but do not see where they ever say to replace a fuel filter? Is is because they do not have a fuel filter or is it maybe in the gas tank with the fuel pump?

I assume it could be changed or I wonder if it is part of the fuel pump/sending unit assembly, meaning one can only change it all? Like the fuel pump in Chevy truck tank- fuel pump and sending unit are all one assembly.

So r u thinkin the one that used to be up inside the frame is now gone and u have to remove the fuel tank to change along with no tranny dip stick those are better idea's!!

There IS a tranny dipstick- it's, uh, just a little short...

2009-2010 both use inline fuel filters Part # Motorcraft FG1083, I don't know what 2011 uses.

I was asking u the question is there a filter inside the frame rail??? I know about the dip stick for the tranny a very lame idea IMO..

He told you the filter is in the tank... it does not require regular servicing.

Yes, 2009-2010 both have the inline filter on the frame!
