My Hagerty policy has no limits on driving, and agreed value. I put a $6500 price tag on my truck...I have no idea how much it is honestly worth. An appraisal was suggested, but I would rather put the cash in the truck at this point.
Price depends on location. I think that you're at the lower end of your price range. I think that up to $8k would be more fair.
at first just full coverage , now agreed value .......... same for the 52 . now turd bird well...... some one hit it so i can collect ...................
If you only have liability and wreck as you said you can fix it.
However if it's stolen or burns to the ground it's gone. Comperhensive will cover that and is very cheap. I only carry liability , uninsured, under insured, and comp. on all my daily drivers, I've rebuilt cars totaled for years and everything I drive is something I have fixed so as you said I can fix it again. If it's stolen or burned I want it replaced or the money.

regular insurance, with agreed value....but ALWAYS get a current (every few years) appraisal, so you have some paperwork to back up your claim.
Great advice...as that was given to me by my insurance broker. I held off simply because my truck just got on the road late last summer...I intend to get it appraised early in the spring simply to verify or modify my policy.
Regardless of your insurance provider decision, make sure you have an agreed value policy. Without an agreed value policy, you are at the mercy of the insurance company in the event your truck is damaged, lost, or stolen. It would be a terrible feeling to lose your prized possession and receive a measly $500 check in the mail, etc.
The Hartford is another option for antique and classic car insurance and does agreed value as well. It’s a good company to go with.
Congrats on the 53 f100! I pick mine up on sunday. I actually called AIS (auto insurance specialist's) they could only offer me the bare min that the state require's for 35 a month since I'm only 23 and the other collector car companies won't insure a crazy youn child like myself with a truck that barely runs.
Ive had Grundy on my 56 Ford Truck and 71 Harley for over 10 years, both agreed 15000.00 each with no limits on driving but it cant be your only everday transportation, Im retired so I drive mine several days a week for pleasure. No limit on milage and it has to be garage kept, I pay about 225.00 a year for full coverage...
From what I am reading on this thread I think that each State is a little different on their requriements. For what it is worth I have my 46 Ford Street Rod and daily driver insured through State Farm. I will have my F1 with them as well when it is done. My 46 is insured for a stated value. When I got rear ended I toke it to the shop of my choice, which is where it was painted. My only requirements from State Farm are that it cannot be my daily driver. Shop around.

I see the "can't be your daily driver" spoken often. How would any insurance company ever prove everyday driver unless you only have the one vehicle?
from what i understand you have to have a regular car insured with them OR proof from another insurance company. I drive mine daily....NO new cars, so i have to have regular insurance.
