by chance the stock radio has rca hook ups. dont want to mess with dash and dont have cash to buy new cd or dvd just yet but have an amp and sub was gonna hook up. cant w/0 rca's
and my ax 12 volt in dash isn't working, checked fuses appear to fine, checked unit, all connected and looks fine, .....i dont know thanks guys
what is it that the rca's convert into? and/or how does a line level work not sure on the stereo equip thing i quess. only have hooked up tp a system with accomidating features
A line level converter basically taps into the audio from your rear speakers and converts it to work with your amp. This way, you don't have to hook up the amp to your head unit, rather your rear speakers.
just to give you heads up i see that you on a budget so this is the best bang for the buck but you will lose sound quality over a true rca feed system (not a bad setup, just not the best for quality sound)
