Hello, I am wondering where the air inlet is to the blend door. A friend of mine is trying to see if something can be blocked to get the heat going again. Luckly for him there is some heat but nothing what you want to have on a cold New England winter night. I have told him what the job is like if he did it himself which he would rather tackle this on come this spring for its his main vehicle for the winter months. If a blockage cant be done , he will just have to deal with the heat that he now gets or buy one of those 12v heaters to help.
He could manually move the blend door and somehow wedge it. Maybe the heater treater is a good route for him - it goes in through the back of the glove box rather than by taking the whole dash out.
I'm having a similar issue, but only with the rear heat. Is there a second blend door for the rear heat, or do front and rear share the same? Also, does anyone have schematics for the duct routing, wiring, etc for the heater(s)? I'm new to the site, so sorry if these items are common knowledge and I'm asking a newbie questions. Thanks.

There are three blend doors, one in the front, two in the back. On the front blend door it is typically the axle on the door itself that breaks, on the rear ones it is the gears in the blend door actuators. So you cannot control the temp in the back? That would be the harder of the two back there to fix, but it isn't monumental. There are a number of threads here that take you through it step by step, pictures and all. Use the search function.
