How much boost does it take before the PCM defuels? I used to know but forget.

23 psi. I have an adjustable regulater but can't seem to get it set right so I have one from clay on the way

He's running the truck with no gauges right now so I'm not sure what kind of boost or egt's he's running. We'll have to work on that! But thanks for the help. We did some searches last night on cutting out and most seemed to be cps related. I have an extra black one we might try for fits and giggles!

Hey fellas, I'm Fab. I got the '96 with the wierd high end cut out. I did run the auto pcm at first, but changed it to the manuel which did fix the idling issue, however the cut out was there since the rebuild.

Easy test. Unplug the map and see if it does it. Im still thinking your pcm is defueling

Oh yea another thing is this rebuild is from 4 years ago and been running like this since.

I unpluged the map like you suggested, no more cutting out and not as much smoke.

Good to hear it wasn't anything major! This shouod solve your problems

Riffraff Diesel: OCR - Overboost Code Regulator

Just double check with clay at riffraff to make sure the obs and superdutys both cut out at 23psi. Otherwise I have an adjustable one that I just took off my truck if your interested. Also get a set of guages if you can
