i hear some people in the northeast spraying motor oil on the undercarriage of their trucks in the fall and it suppose to prevent rust. is this true? do they just spray the frame or body and everything?
i live in the rust belt and have alwayse sprayed used motor oil under my truck after every other oil change and my dads 1989 f-250 looks better underneath than from the top. i spray everything even the exahust.yeah it smokes for a while but never replaced the exahust on it either. from my experiance this is a far better rust proofer than undercoating, because after a couple yeaars it starts to peal off leaving places for salt and water to lay.best of all used motor oil is free..
