Headlight pods

Has anyone tried those polishing kits to brighten up their headlights? I'm curious if it is worth the effort or would it be better just to replace the housing.

I guess most any kit would be ok. I did a friend's lights but used stuff I had laying around. A sheet of 2000 sand paper and 2 different grades of swirl polish on a power pad and I was good to go. Even had plastic protector to spray on.

I have tried the polishing kits like 3M and a few others and they don't do much of anything that I can tell.

I would just replace the housings I just did this today with housings I bought off of Amazon for $35-37 dollars for a pair plus shipping really does help.
