Can anyone suggest the best vendor for the upgraded headlight harness keepingin mind <nobr style="font-weight: normal; font-size: 100%; color: darkgreen;" id="itxt_nobr_0_0">price</nobr> and quality?

 

What do you mean my a heavy duty wiring harness? I thought there was only one available. Are you meaning a heavy duty headlamp relay to run brighter lights?

 

many suggest replacing the harness itself, and there are vendors that sell this harness with bigger wires and relays, apparently running higher wattage bulbs without additional power doesn't give best results..

Yes, I'm referring to the heavy duty harness wtih the relays that connects directly to the battery

 

I have heard of people going to NAPA for a harness to run silverstars and brighter bulbs but do not have details, not much help I guess! LOL

I have a 2005 SD with the headlight harness upgrade that I put on from GOS Performance | Bozeman, Livingston, MT | 800-620-4467 and it works well. I also put extra vision headlamps and put 55 watt bulbs in the fog lamps also. The harness was about $70.00 and is well made give them a look.

 

That is what I have installed. Seems to work well. Doesn't make a huge difference but combine that with better bulbs it make a noticeable difference. I thinking about upgrading to the clear headlights of the '02-'04 or maybe the '05-'07 models.
