It IS all good. Loved the rural feel to Kauai, was an amazing experience. Would like to go back and lose the plane ticket home! But I'd definitely have to ship my truck over. Sorry for the hijack hawaiianpsd, get those valve covers off and let us know how it goes.
Kauai is my favorite island to vacation on. Been there twice and will be there again this April.
The chickens are hilarious, thousands of them all over the island.
Catch a couple of them and have free dinner.
Jeez, those flippin' chickens. They need to do some population control! Yeah, you'd have to be real ignorant to starve to death there. Fruit, avocados, chickens, coconuts, bikinis. Dan, did you notice the trend on that island is to jack your truck up and put little skinny wheels and tires on it. What in the world?? Gonna send you a PM sometime on some of the gems I found there if I can remember them. I sure envy you. Flying that long I can do without, but that island is beautiful. Oh, and did I mention bikinis?
Sorryagain

Don't remember the skinny tires.
Saw a lot of lifted trucks with sand tires on them.
Also saw a lot of older rusted out cars that the surf bums use to stay in when they are at the beach.
Yeah, I left out any mention of the surf bums and wanna be hippies. They're as thick as the pakalolo in the air. I forgot to mention I was there for the great tsunami last year, it was crazy. Gas stations empty, grocery stores empty, the place was shut down. We were perched on a cliff with a couple hundred other people watching the "tsunami". Those people never missed a beat. The beer/wine flowed, the air was thick with strange smells, and everyone was just laid back having a wonderful time on a blessed day.... not knowing if disaster was only a couple hours away. It's a whole different pace of life there.
