The answer may be as simple as "its a full-time trans case" but here goes,
when I shift trans case into ANY gear and then put transmission into gear my front drive shaft turns as well as the rear wether it be forward or reverse.
Is this normal for the 205 and o.k. as long as my front hubs are not locked in?

No it isn't supposed to turn. As stated it can turn some by just the oil in it. Reach under there and see if it is free when the transfer case is in 2 high.
It was not free so i bumped the shifter/selector forward some and it free'd up. I wonder how long its been like that as i ***(outta)u(&)MEd that was just the 70s technology. These trucks must have been built for people like me, they are so tough you cant break them with even an enormous amount of ignorance!
