Truck has been running perfect for the last 8 months and in the last couple days it has become very hard to start. I just did the return lines today because if the truck sat for any time the fuel filter would be low. Batteries and starter are new the motor turns over extremely fast. The lift pump is about 6 months old. I cracked the injector lines after the new return lines to bleed the air out and i just cant get the truck to start. Any ideas.
all the gp's are good. Not kicking over at all. Just took the fuel filter off and cranked it over and not no fuel at all. What would be causing my lift pump to go out. this is the third one to go out in two years and only 4000 miles???
Never heard of the Electric Pumps, you might be getting bad pumps which must make you angry to hear lol. I would be furious, are you getting OEM pumps or parts from Napa and such?
the 12d mr gasket is said to be a great addition and if you can get your hands on one it wouldnt be a waste of time at all. I have an oddity that is still working which is the F150 gasser intank pumps. They overpressurize but i have a relief system that helps a lot haha. 5-7 psi electric pump and you will never have air intrusion problems again. On a side note, how full are the fuel tanks? Could a pickup tube have fallen off and nothing is coming in, this would cause a sudden issue.
just got the new pump on, bleed the lines and fired right up, good news. These are napa's best pump that they carry and they have exchanged them every time for no charge. The guy thinks that something else is happening to make these pumps go out. I just don't see what that could be. The tanks are 3/4 full also.
well then it is like my alternator i got from napa, two times i had to bring it back. Third time was the charm and they said the same thing to me but the current alternator(no pun intended) has been in for over a year with no issues. I think sometimes there is just a bad batch that floats through the system and we suffer for it. Glad it fired for you man! That is always a good feeling.
