quick fix on trans dipstick??

I didn't see a year but mine are all stupid and my neighbors blew enough oil to actually start a cute little smoke fire on the manifold, of course he was doing crazy donuts in the field so it was hotter than normal.
I wonder if there's a breather of some kind that may be plugged down near the gearbox itself.
I carry a fire ext or a wet rag in the back just in case.
Junkyard parts like that are prob all in the same condition, eh?
beeee careful or add comprehensive to your insurance.
