Another header/start thread
I have an 88 F250 with an 85 carbed 460 swapped in it. It is 4x4 with a C6. That being said:
I picked up a set of what I think are the Hedman headers and a header back exhaust from craigslist. I finally put the headers in and ran into most of the fitment issues that most others have also (pass. frame rail; dipstick tube; starter; etc.). I took care of everything but the starter; there's just no way that I'll be able to get the OEM unit back in there (no room between collector and oil pan). I've been lookin at the "mini" starters that others have said give more clearance but I can't settle on which one. The parts store websites have all kinds of pictures and Ebay has even more that are showed sayin they're "mini" starters. Does anyone have a part number of which one will work for me? Anyone have a picture of one of these installed? Thanks in advance.
