as i was pulling out of my drive way maybe doing 5mph my gauge said i was doing 65 and then once i started moving it was stuck at 90 through all speeds till i slowed down below 5mph. i know i dont have a speedo cable after lookin under the truck for one. i'm lost on this one. any ideas
when my dash gets real warm like the defroster is on, sometimes my speedo either starts to flicker wile driving or if dash gits too hot itll just freeze untill dash cools down... would this be same problem?

You would need to go to a salvage yard and buy a Cluster and take the PSOM out of it and put it in yours.
I would not give more than $50.00 for a non tach cluster.
well mine has the tach. any difference in price? where exactly is this located?
Yes they will charge more for one with a tach but you do not need it.
Get a cluster without the tach and take the PSOM out of it and put it in your cluster that has a tach.
The PSOM has nothing to do with the tach, the PSOM are the same in each type of clusters. The PSOM, speedometer and the odometer are separate entities and have nothing to do with any other item in the cluster.
There was an improvement in the PSOM 1994 but I think a 94 or newer will still work.
Note that the mileage is keep inside the PSOM and can not be changed so the odometer will read whatever the truck you took it out of had on it.
Note also that the PSOM was in clusters in trucks from 1992-1996, some larger trucks had them for about two more years or so.
You may have to reprogram the PSOM if you have a different size tires on your truck than the truck the PSOM came out of.
Just get the whole cluster and take it home.
Then take it apart and remove the PSOM from it.
Some buy more than one cluster so in case one of the PSOM are bad they can still get good one.
You have to take the speedometer out of the cluster and then remove (pull) the PSOM from the back of the speedometer. There are three screws holding the PSOM to the speedometer also.
