I'll try to keep this short. It's a 93 F250 7.5l with 36" and 6" lift. Has had a powersteering leak since I bought it but if it ain't broke dont fix it. Well finally went dry and went out while I was wheeling. Stopped spinning and broke a belt. Replaced pump and belt. Made it 60 miles home. Then next dont no power steering. Revved motor and had power steering. Drove it a bit then it would only work when I'm on the gas. Then noticed pulley warped. Replaced it drove it to autozone no problems. Leaving autozone and no powersteering all the way home. Steering box is relatively new. Powersteering is no longer leaking and pump is completely full. My thoughts are air in the system but dont know how to fix it. Thanks.
I'm beginning to think my leak being fixed isn't a good sign. Maybe the fluid isn't getting to where it was supposed to. Who knows. Just been one pain after another.
So I tried turing the wheel lock to lock two times each way and it was working for the moment then stopped again. If I put pressure on the wheel it would start to work then stutter until it stopped. My gear box is fairly new maybe a few years or 5,000 miles. If that goes dry any chance it ruined it?
