Ford just posted the ecoboost baja torture video...

God that engine is really impressing me. I figure that even if all the tests were rigged in ford's favor, that it is still a very serious contender when I get around to buying my next truck (3.5 years to go!) And by then I am sure they will have made it even better!

P.S.- Could someone explain how to attach a specific web page????

I'm overly impressed. They've put this engine through hell and back, almost literally in Baja. I'm curious to see what the turbo's blades look like after 1072 miles of dust in Baja.

Jaw dropping performance no doubt. But again, my concern isn't with the engine but with the transmission after all those miles and abuse.

I'm actually beginning to re-think the 5.0L. I'll definitely test drive an EB and weigh the differences.

I've been saying for a while that EB is going to be awesome. It's the engine I'd want in the 2011 F150.

I'm not worried about the durability of the Ecoboost, it's Fords trannies that I'm still unsure about.

My next truck is going to have the EB. These videos have sold me on it.

We've decided on an Eco Boost Platinum. The big problem is they won't let us order it until February. After my wife took the test drive in the Eco Boost she doesn't want anything else. She did a test drive in a 5.0 and said no comparison.

Wow... this thing is just awesome. I guess I'm just " stuck " with my 5.4 though. I'm just very happy Ford is kicking some tail for a change

I'd also be curious to see the turbo's bearings after all the torture it's been through. And even if the 15-21 mpg is true, this motor can do more than most big V8's can. It's still my next candidate for my next truck in 32 more months.
