Anyone know if the actual seat construction is different between the trim levels? I have an F350 now, and love it because of the broad, flat seat back. I hate the sport bucket, side bolstered deals that are in most of the F150s that Ive seen. I didnt know if maybe some of the lower trim levels (XL or STX) might come with 'basic' seats?\
The (front) seats in my cheaper-than-a-kipper-on-a-cracker regular cab XL are the same design, shape and size as my neighbors' crew cab Lariat. Except of course that his are powered, heated and leather rather than un-heated, manual, and 40-grit cloth and I don't have a center console.
Compared to my 1999 F250 XLT and 2003 F250 XL seats, they are very "contoured" as you say. They are also more contoured than my 2002 F150 XL seats, although the cloth was nicer but less durable in the 2002.
The seats I compare in the 99, 2002, 2003 and 2010 are all 60/40 or 40/20/40 cloth bench seats by the way.
I have an XLT and the seats are like n578md said; very contoured. If I have my phone and pager on my hip, they get forced out of the way, off my belt, etc, when I sit in the truck.
