Valet Switch

I know this is probably not the right forum but I just have one simple question. I damaged the valet switch on my E-350 alarm and have to replace it. Would anyone know if those switches just momentarily interrupt the power or are they a true on/off switch. Thanks for any advice.

Every valet I know of is on/off.

An interrupt would kinda defeat the purpose of the switch.
