I am looking for some help with my Ford 250 Super Duty, it is a 2008 model. I can't get it to start and the anti-theft light keeps blinking. At least i think it is an anti-theft light, a blinking red lock on the instrument panel. I bought this truck from an auction so I don't have a manual, neither do I have a key set with the push button stuff on it. Just 2 electronic keys.
Someone suggested unhooking the battery overnight, and someone else suggested pressing the valet button. I found a button under the dash, I have no idea if it is the right one.
During normal power off condition, that light should "slow" flash. When you try to start, it's supposed to go solid for several seconds then go off signifying a successful PATS key read and approval to start. However, if it goes to a "fast" flash during a starting attempt, that means the key was not read and approved and engine operation has been disabled.
Most likely, you'll need to tow it to a dealer or call out a well-equipped mobile locksmith for repair as there's not much a DIYer can do with the system.

Any ideas please?
How did this turn out?
I am having the same issue right now. Truck sat and batteries drained, when I charged it up to start it this problem popped up.
