sd an comp. cam's

if lobe sep.,dur. an lift are almost the same between cam lines an manufact., why cant u get a 4x4 cam instead of sd comp. cam ? i dont exactly get it

these all say they work for early 69 to 96 an require valve springs, soooo,why not use this ?

"Almost the same" doesn't cut it when you're dealing with an SD motor, LSA must be 114deg or more and intake duration 210 deg or less. Also if total valve lift is 0.500" or less valve springs are not absolutely necessary.

so the 1 crane cam is the only comp. cam with sd w/o getting a chip burned ?
