This is next years Christmas. At work, I drive an 08 450 and love the mirrors so much because I have all of the usable mirror size compared to the old style.
How do you find them in the rain and snow? I find the 04-05 mirrors really get dirty with the rain and slush wrapping around and hitting the mirror then turning grey and making the mirror unable to see out of.
I don't find them getting any dirtier, but it is not something I noticed with the small paddle mirrors I used to have.
I do find them way brighter at night when you have someone behind you. More mirror to reflect light at your eyes, so I find myself folding them in slightly and using the bottom mirror to still watch traffic around me, but that also needs some getting used to. It is either that or losing all the traffic behind you.
With my 05 tow mirrors, the bottom mirror gets so dirty and its so small to begin with, plus, with me lifted..I use the lower mirror alot. With the 08 mirrors, you have so much mirror to use. Just not sure if the 08 box style mirror goes with the curves of the X?

I'm actually planning on swapping the front clip off my 04 for a front clip of the newer trucks just torn on one hand I want to do the 11 style but I like the fenders more of the 08's so I'm not sure what clip I'm gunna slap together might be a hybrid of both.
Plus I'm planning on putting on one of our PIT style / ram bar type front bumper with the led lights as parT of our demo rig. So I can write my ex off
Perfect Im in! Ill make a good photo and you tube video of the install. Ed if you can shoot me a pm with the costs for the parts and I'll do my video for all to see and do for their rigs!
hello I was wondering if you still have the video of you installing the 08 power fold mirrors
