Accelerator isn't communicating

I've got an '04 Super Duty and today it gave me a scare. When I tried to accelerate from a stop sign it stayed at an idle. There was no communication between the pedal and the injectors. I coasted into a parking lot, put it in park and then it responded to the pedal. I started it after parking for a half hour or so and it idled at a real low rpm. It came back to normal after a few seconds, then ran fine for the 5 miles or so to get home. It has done the no response thing once before. Anybody got an idea what the problem might be?

You need to get it code scanned. It could be a harness issue, injector issue (leaking) or an actual pedal issue. No way to know for sure Do you have the adjustable pedal feature on your truck?
