ok my truck has been running kinda rough lately i will be driving down the road and it will just die, then it will fire right back up run for a while and do it again. and i couldnt figure out why so i purchased a code reader to try to track the problem down but i dont really understand what to do with them they are:637,628,654,621,622,629,626,624 and continous memory codes 128,327,328,452,624,634,637 with the koeo test. i know what the codes are but dont know how to fix-em. my truck is a 1993 with 200k, was a auto but prevous owner switched to 5-speed, 5.8l. i just replaced the alt. because it went bad on me. other than dying every couple miles it runs good. any one got any advice? and i didnt do the test with the motor running yet.
128 MAP sensor vacuum was not greater than 2 in-Hg (7 kPa) during normal vehicle operation.
Did you check the vac line to it? pull a vac on it while connected to the MAP sensor, see if it holds.
327 DPFE or EVP circuit below minimum voltage of 0.2 volts. A "CM" code but passes the KOEO test?
328 EVP circuit below minimum voltage of 0.24 volts. Same question, that's a "CM" code but it passes the KOEO test?
Unplug harness connector at EVP, with key "on" engine not running, in the harness connector check for 5volts reference voltage between the two pins "VREF" (brn-wht wire) and "SIG RTN" (gry-red wire). Doubt that's the problem if it passes KOEO test but easy enough to check/verify a minute if for no other reason to rule it out.
452 Computer detected an error in the VSS or PSOM signal during the last 80 warm-up cycles.
Might be something as simple as a corroded connection.
