biggest tires would probably be 33s with no rub. i have 35s with a 4 inch suspension and 3 inch body and i could go to 36s

I would say your best bet is 33s, but 35s should work fine. You will want to regear the truck.

I would consider Dynomax Ultraflo or Race Bullet mufflers. That will sound better than the Blowmasters.

Stay away from body lifts.

If you are going to do all this work i would suggest doing a SD friendly cam while you are this far in. comp cams 31-255-5 or the crane 444232 are the best options... This will give you a good boost to turn those bigger tires. I would also make sure to drill alignment holes once you have all your sheet metal perfect. The new bed won't be a problem but getting the old one off will be. I suggest just cutting the old bed bolts off and getting grade 5 carriage bolts to replace the ones you cut off. Seems to me you need 2x4in and 4x3in or 3.5in but don't quote me on that...

Get a bottle of antiseeze and several cans of PB Blaster now! You'll need the PB blaster to get bolts to break loose and the antiseeze to keep them from rusting back together!

Oh and get ziplocks with a white label face on them... It's easy to mix up bolts and loose them... i suggest taking one thing apart at a time and then putting the bolts and fasteners in a zip lock and labeling it with a sharpie... That way you can throw all your ziplocks in a cardboard box to be dug out later... i'd also go with 33's and x2 on staying away from blow-master.

your cam-shaft... The fun little part that controls how far your valves open and how long they will stay open. Think of it as the brain inside your engine. You undoubtedly have what's called a Speed Density engine. This means your computer takes information provided by your truck sensors/guages and then calculates how much air to be let into the engine. SD motors require a high vacuum so the grind of your cam has to be just right. SD is the reason you need a "Computer friendly" cam and there aren't many options out there. So you basically have the two options, but this one here Crane Cams 444232 - Crane CompuCam Cam and Lifter Kits - Overview - SummitRacing.com is the better of the two. Basically this will help squeeze some easy horse power out of your 351w and make it easier to trun bigger wheels, haul larger loads, or just get off the line at the stop light a little quicker.

keep in mind what ever tire and gear package you put in... you'll need to recalculate the # of teeth on your speedometer gear so that your speedo reads correctly... Wait I'm thinking old school 87-91 trucks... I have no clue what to do about adjusting your speedo! You might have a PSOM or other equipment i don't know about. LOL... I just have the old junk!

also not that you need to keep adding to your list of stuff but... It might be a good time to just pull the front clip off... This would allow full axcess to the motor and make cam swaps, water pumps, timing gear sets, cleaning injectors, etc etc etc... way easier! If you have rust on your fenders you might want to take a look at your radiator core support on the bottom. They have a nasty tendency to rust through... Since you are taking it out of commission... LOL. here's a list of general maintence you (or the PO) might have neglected in the past, and a few things i would probably do just for fun... I mean if you have the truck looking good you might as well do the mechanicles too!

1.) Change tranny fluid
2.) change diff fluid front and rear
3.) flush and change radiator fluid
4.) change tcase fluid
5.) clean injectors (manual clean, not just a bottle of injector cleaner in the gas tank)
6.) E-fan conversion
7.) sixlitre tune-up (take a look at links on this page https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ml#post9386491 )
8.) Oil pressure sender (change to old style and get your actual oil pressure not just a 7psi dummy light...)
9.) check ball joints, u-joints, and steering linkages.
10.) inspect all break lines (it might be time to replace some rusty break lines... don't want to blow a line and hit someone after your truck looks all purdy!)
11.) I could probably think of more... i'll keep thinking...

If you're going all out, most people forget that when you up your tire size you should also improve your breaking system! Slotted rotors/pads help quite a bit!
