You dont HAVE to run bigger axles, but keep in mind that once you get to the 35"-36" range you are really getting to the max size to still keep reliability with the 44IFS and 8.8. If you really want stronger axles, you can swap a 10.25 into the rear, there are kits to put a solid axle D44 or D60 in the front, you could adapt a D50 IFS from a F250 into the front. Depending on how extreme you are wanting to do things, theres all kinds of things you can do, it just depends on how much money you want to spend...
o ya i just wanted to make sure about that and what about steering what up grades should i do to bc of the 6"lift and 35s i just put a new ps pump and pulley on her
Depends... what are you doing with it???? Wheeling? Off roading? or just running it down the high way???? if it's a DD then no you don't need to do anything with the axles. If you are going wheeling or using the truck in some other "rugged" manner... then yes i'd say find yourself a sterling 10.25 rear with the gears your want already loaded in it... as for the front... Dana60 SAS (solid axle swap) is the best... but dana 50's with the TTB (twin traction beam) run ok... and are cheaper...
a well its going to kill me but yes im going to mud the **** out of it lol and its going to be my dd which will also suck bc the way it is now on 33s getting 9 mpg. but y not have a bitching truck right ?
don't bother with a great paint job then... Get a KingPin Dana 60 for the front and a Sterling 10.25 for the back with 3.73 or 4.10 gears...Hell you might want to do what i did... Get a old nasty honda, festiva, or toyota for the cheap DD, and build the truck for the mud...
ya sorry about that but im like a kid in a candy shop right now and going with the sky jacker 6"lift stage 1 and dick cepek mud countrys 35-12.5-15 on black cragars just want get all the info now and parts listed but thanks for all the info guys it really means a lot and once again if you guys can come up with anything that great
