I would say if the guy in the Chevy just holds the brake down you won't move it. Then when you are spinning he hits the throttle you are going backwards.
If it is a factory posi, the girl might just blow her rear when that Gov Lok hooks up and jars the hell out of the thing!
If the Chevy engine is the one I think it is (6.0 V8, not a 6.1), she most definitely has more power and torque. That engine, when installed in a 2500HD truck, should also have a 14-bolt axle in the rear, so you boys have fun waiting on that one to break. Finally, she probably has a 4L80 transmission, which is stronger than any automatic or manual transmission that Ford installed in their 1991 models. I think the only chance of success "IDI Diesel" has is if she floors her truck right away and loses traction and starts spinning the tires, but if she manages to remain "stuck" to the road then she will win simply because her truck is more powerful and also stronger, even though it is not a diesel.
Either way it goes, I think Dave is right, some parts store will be a winner for sure!
well, never heard of a 6.1l chevy..... But I had a 99 nbs 4x4 2500 with the 6.0 and I own a 7.3l idi now. The ford would pull the chevy. You have dual tanks and a longbed, easily 500 lbs more extra weight in the rear.
