So i have a 91 F250 2wd with a 7.3 diesel and a open rear axle. A friend wants to see who would win in a pull off. She has a chevy 2500 HD 4x4 with a positive rear end and 6.1 gasser. Supposing both trucks are in 2wd who do yall think would win? Im thinking a slow pull in 1st and turning off O/D i would have her beat.
as much as I hate to say it, i think the cheby may win. You would have the power, but she would have the traction. What kind of tires are on both trucks?
ill have some big lug snow tires on. she has all terrains. I do put some wieght in for the winter about 500lbs but id like to see how id do without weight. Any opinion on both pulls-with or without weight
with the weight u would have some better bite for sure but i would try without weight i think u should pull her aleast i hope u do cause when a woman out pulls ya she is a pain in the *** lol
being its a 2wd it may sit lower than your truck so when you put the torque on you may actually pull the rear of her truck up a little causing worse traction on hers.i may be wrong depending on how the rear springs are in hers
I would say that chepy will have a hard time, with the weight of your truck and you pulling against it she will be having to work that thing to keep from being towed across the field.
thanks for the input. if i start spinning ill deffinatly stop and try to get a new start. im banking on the fact she has no idea how to pull. ill take a video to show you how it goes. gotta replace my injector pump first.
pullin is all about weight and traction, then torque. if you could put all the power to the ground, you may have her, but she'll prolly have the traction. and it the weights are not equal it isnt really a fair pull anyway
