Who would win in the following situations between a stock 2005 F250 crewcab Fx4 6.0 and a stock 2006 crewcab 4x4 cummins?
1) A drag race
2) Hooking a chain to each bumper, who would pull the other?
I would never do #2, just asking. I have a guy at work who drives the cummins (I have the F250) and he's always bragging about his truck beating my truck in the above mentioned categories.
In the drag race I think you will have him but in the chain pull I thin it would be close if not him pulling just a little more as the in-line is a torquey engine. But then again I think it would be close it would depend also on tires and who is pulling from a taller spot. Like is your truck lifted and your hitch is 15in taller then his. Both of those will give more or less traction to the other. The taller one would get more traction as the lower one pulled the taller into the ground and vise versa taller would be lifting the shorter one make it has less traction so there is alot that goes into it. It would be close but I would still think you would have him in the drag. You can look up trucks doing the tug with a chain on you tube. They have dodge vs ford but who knows what mods they have.
Stock for stock I think the 6.0l has the cummins for power. I've driven thousands of miles in my grandpas 05 cummins dually, and going up hills it just seems anemic compared to my truck.
In a pull off, just keep your foot on the brake, build up some boost, then watch your mirrors. When He starts to spin, let off the brake and drive away.
