Broke another one. Does anyone have one laying around. Or know a good deal on a billit one. Last year I could find both fuel and oil set for 75 now they are running 100 or so.
On the billet cap with the 1/8 NPT port ... what is the port for ... is it for attaching a fuel pressure gauge?
I suppose you screw a sending unit in there or attach a gauge when you are testing.
My sending unit is on the test port at the base of the filter body.

Reason: Update
The HFCM cap or the small (on top of the motor filter cap)?
The key is always to use Racor made OEM filters.
Snap HFCM filter into cap before screwing down
Always lube the new o-ring very well to ensure that the cap easily screws down easily and tight.
Always use the proper sized socket for both caps to prevent breakage. Do not use the drive socket in the "hole" on the small filter cap... always use a "socket" to prevent breakage of the plastic/fake nut on top of the small filter cap (I know from experience).
Only use Racor/OEM made filter caps as they are patanted to fit the housing they screw into... which Racor makes for Int'l and Ford and any others are just "will-fit"... and the caps and filters may not seat properly (they may, but why take the risk).
Your breaking caps due to not lubing the o-ring, not using Racor/OEM filters or over-torquing the cap.... yes it happens, but not very often.
Check out RockAuto Auto Parts I buy a majority of my auto parts from there. They have prices a lot better than any of the chains. They also usually have a few different brands of the part to choose from.
I looked on ebay and found some sweet billet caps ($120 for the set) and like $21 for just the oem oil cover, its worth checking out, oh and the billet caps are both tapped.
I only use Ford filters. The issue is that my son used the 1/2 drive hole, and not the socket. AGAIN.
I did it one time... broke the cap... and never did it again.
Innovative concept, but poor design and/or not strong enough plastic. I would think they should remove the 1/2 drive socket hole and just make it for only using a socket as the only way... but then again, it's a great way to sell more small/top of the motor fuel filter caps!!!
