ok guys i no my oil cooler is leaking and have o rings kit on the way, my ??? is should i park it or is it ok 2 drive?? to day was really cold and for got 2 plug it in i left a big puddle of oil, but when its warmed up it leaks no more, days i plug it it it dont seam to leak at all, i just dont wanna mess any thing up, i check the oil was a little low bout as much as leaked out. thanks guys!!
the metal shrinks when cold so it will leak more.
Just keep an eye on oil level.
The cooler can be removed all in one piece by first removing filter and block heater. When i do them I remove drivers side wheel and cut small slit in inner fender well so I can get 3 foot 3/8 extension on the front flange bolts. No need to jack up engine
I just redid mine yesterday. It really isn't bad. The block heater doesn't need to come off though. Just the cord. It will wiggle out towards the rear if you have someone pull the fuel lines out of the way a bit. That makes it easier.
