Ok so I was laying under my truck the other day and noticed I'm starting to get an oil Liam on the top front right side of my timing cover and also on the front head of my oil cooler is there any write ups on doing Theese 2 items ?
I found a leak coming from the oil rail plugs that had that showed up with the same symptoms. The leak looked like a very small leak (or no leak at all) at idle, until I ran the engine at full speed. Orings are cheaper and faster than oil cooler work.
When I first notice my truck leaking oil, I traced the oil back to bad orings in the oil rail plug. I purchased generic orings and replaced them. The leak went away for a short time and then returned. When I purchased the correct orings from Ford, it went away permanently, at least that oil leak.
I know for a fact it is the front head of the oil cooler where it attaches to the block there is soaked black dirt there.. No oil spots on ground but I know it's that and I'm 95 percent sure its timing cover gasket ill have to look again on that
