I have not had my truck aligned a single time, and I have replaced both radius arm bushings, tie rod ends multiple times, drag link, ball joints and had the whole I-beam/knuckle assemblies removed.
Not saying this should be standard procedure, but I am saying I never had wandering/pullling/tire wear problems in doing this. 215,000 original miles.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-16-03 AT 12:22 PM (EST)]I did not get an alignment after the rad rod bushing was replaced and the truck rides and drives fine. In fact, with three F series pickups, I don't recall ever getting alignments except after I bent the I-beam axle hopping a curb (brand new '84 and I tried to treat it like my '77, but the '77 apparently was tougher )

I have to get my truck aliened yearly (or more often ) or it starts eating tires (every truck I ever had did this) Of course I live on back roads with hole that will swallow most small cars.
