Oh my, what kinds of people we have here on this forum - well I am called a bimbo and a floozy on daily basis and that is perfectly fine with me, but it is when I am labeled as a cold-hearted b*tch that I get mad - I am not cold-hearted, not one bit! Tehe
Haha wow. This thread isn't what I thought I was going to see when I clicked th title. But no worries. I dont mind the topic switches. And what is this? A new female in the 7.3L forum? I have been busy lately. I like your sig by the way haha.
Well that was drive shaft #6, and this time I did get to rebuild the inside of the axle, not exactly what I had planned, but that is how it goes sometimes.
The others before this, replace the drive shaft and go.
The 10.25" axle is about as tough as you could want.
Mine has been there and back many times
I guarantee the number of tons I have hauled on it are in the ten's of thousands.
wow Dave.you twisted 6 drive shafts.doing what? hauling heavy?
don't scare me,by saying that can be done by pushing snow please lol.
man,id think the U-joints would snap before the shaft would twist.
did you put some sort of extra heavy duty U-joints in?i think i recall you mentioning some back along.

Not that new, few weeks old already. And, I think I may be the ONLY female on here... Also, thank you

Dave, you must have quite the engine to be able to damage driveshafts like that? Also, about the 10.25" axle, do you think it is strong enough to handle a full spool differential in a dually truck with good tires that may haul up to 3000 lbs of rocks in the bed?
If you're twisting drive shafts like that, something isn't right. The weakest link should be your u-joints, not your drive shaft. Are you having drive shafts built at a drive line shop, or replacing them with OEM drive shafts from parts trucks? I would HATE to have to pay for 6 drive shafts. I could understand 1, but as soon as #2 did that, I'd be in a drive line shop saying, DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN.
