Talk about having some bad luck, #1 piston melted at 74,500 miles argh got new short block outta the deal guess not so bad. Went ahead and had head studs put in and updated blue fuel pressure spring. Hope this don't happen any time soon again. Nobody really sure why this happened even the ford rep, looked like somebody put chunk of metal in there ground it then blow torched the piston.
At least is sounds like yours was covered under warranty. Same issue, my '05 lost compression on #1 cylinder at 110,000 miles. Not sure what caused it.
$6000 into a long block and still counting. Hope to have it pieced back together by Spring.
