Finally got the chance to pay for the relicensing fee and the time to install the delete pipes tonight. I went right to the highest I have- the 250 tune. Truck sounds alot louder, basically eliminated any and all turbo lag, trans shifts are pretty firm and she goes like stink, but roads here are ice so its hard to tell what shes really got!
I only got about 5 miles on it so far, but it feels nice.
(ps- ill say it again, anyone who says they did the dpf/doc delete in 30mins if full of it, unless they have air tools, lift and spare clamps handy)
Well I bought the tuner and delete pipes from a guy who had it about a week then didnt want it. I did not know that I would have to pay to have the tunes licensed for MY vin number, so I paid the guy for what I thought was the whole package including the 13 tunes but was sadly mistaken.
The relicense fee is 325ish I think.
Maybe even less than 15. And I agree with you it takes a good 2 hours and a couple f'd up knuckles
Hahaha ya that thing was like wrestling a gorilla! What a nightmare. The stock one is def less than 15 pounds. The stock DPF and CAT is so heavy that it needed a counter weight!
Ya, probably less than 15lbs, I just over estimated. I managed to not eff up any knuckles believe it or not! But ya wrestlin that SOB outa there was fun...
Quick tip. Go after the bolts on the flange closest to the engine from the bolt side as the nuts on mine were welded to the flange. Nearly impossible to see and I wasn't expecting it.
