No not necessarily, first a little testing be in order.
If you have no idea how old the O2 sensor is or know its been in there on the plus side of 50-60k then yea just replace it.
The egr valve same thing, do some tests it before replacing it. They are part of the emissions system and are built tough to last.
The valve might be fine but the EVP might be faulty for example.
It should read slightly less but no greater then 5000ohm's fully closed, show a steady even drop to 100ohm fully open, (Fully open = 10inches-HG applied at the EGR valve).
guys who cares what year it is. hes not asking if those are the codes it gave hes making a statement and wanting feedback based on that statement not a debate as to whether or not his truck provided him with the codes he says it did or not. I think HE knows what codes His truck gave.
wouldn't a code puller be more user friendly than the check engine light flashes???? alotta weird stuff gets done with these old trucks so suffice it to say for what ever reason his particular computer outputs 3 digit codes

A '91 and older will have two digit codes. Anything else is errant info, and info based on 3-digit codes will just mean he's beating his head against the wall with it.

Exactly, we can't help him if the info given is wrong for any reason, just end up sending em on a wild goose chase.
If for some reason it turns out his truck does throw 3 digit codes so be it however a 91 should give 2 digit codes, we need to work that out first before moving on.
