My 06 f350 has 215k miles and tghe hours reads 5500hrs. I'm assuming the motor doesn't have that many ran miles on it. My old truck had136k miles wit 5500hrs. Anyone out there wit 5500hrs and please tell me your odometer readings. Thanks...enjoy your friday
My 05 f250 had 207k miles on it and just over 4000 hrs when I got it. That's why the mileage didn't really bother me. It works out to something like 51.75 mph average speed.

This equates to a 39 MPH average over the lifespan of the engine. This is very possible, especially if the truck was used as a hot-shot truck.
I remember that one of my Frieghtliners I had when I drove trucks had a 49 MPH average, which is typical for a road tractor that doesn't idle much.
IMHO this is a GOOD thing. This means that your truck didn't idle much, and didn't spend much time in slow stop-and-go traffic. It was probably working!
Guess I'm just lost on how they calculated. Was told my truck was towed behind same truck to go do pickups to bring back. So just figured actually miles aren't ran miles since it was towed.

I just calculated mine a few days ago. I'm at 38 mph average.
Here's a question for anyone who knows - if you flat tow a Superduty, ignition off, does the odometer count those miles? I'm thinking not, since it is not a mechanical speedo.
IIRC you hold down the odometer reset button while you turn the key on, do not start the engine. The gauges flash and when you release the button you are in a diagnostic mode that displays many items, hours is one of them. Keep pressing the button to cycle through the list.
