There is a white one too. I think it's called an insulator though. It's the one that keeps the noise out. I got one from LMC last year for my kid but I can't find them in their book now. I just had to get one from Ford for mine. Maybe if you call lmc.

You can try fabricate something out of a foam pad or something. Thats basically what the white boot is, a foamish looking pad. I have it in mine, and its not loud at all.

you lazy sumbitch!!! still havent finished the dang interior! lol i hate you, yes theres 2 boots. a thick low profile white boot and then the black one. the black is for looks and the white really drones out the sound, youll be impressed once you get it in there. dont go to ford looking for the right part, they litterally dont know its there LOL ahd a heated convo with a guy at parts trying to convince him it was there

Just go to Ford and tell them you need the shifter boot. The whole thing comes as one assembly.. The black boot and screws where it screws down to the floor pan and the white insulator boot comes with it. I just bought one about 2 months ago b/c my shifter boot was obliterated and wasn't keeping out any sound or heat. It's nice and quiet in my cab now though and my shifter doesn't get crazy hot either.

I know this is an old thread, but who cares.

I just ordered a shifter boot for my 94 straight from the ford dealership.

It's a 94.5 F-350 with a ZF S5-47 trans.
Fords PN is F5TZ-7277-A

Cost me around $77 and came with the white inner boot attached
