I'm considering getting a Scanguage II for my April Build '03 6.0. I called the manufacturer yesterday and they said the capability depends on the signal that is transmitted from the diagnostic port to their unit. Although they sell a lot of these for 6.0's, they could not tell me what would actually be available. Some of these functions are built in stock and some can be possibly programmed using their codes. If anyone who has a 03 could tell me what is available, I'd be appreciative. I am looking for:
EOT - Engine Oil Temperature
ECT - Engine Coolant Temperature
Transmission Temperature as I am told the stock guage is not accurate
Voltage
Boost or some reading that correlates to boost
Fuel Pressure although I don't think this is available. The web site indicates there is some reading for fuel.
Coolant temp, voltage, and a number of other sensors (ICP pressure, throttle position, etc.) are available
without any effort at all. Along with instanteous MPG, speed, RPM, average MPG, etc.
I do not have boost directly, but you can read MAP and just subtract 15 from the MAP reading and get an approximate value for boost.
Ie: atmosphere @ sea level is about 14.5. So, if MAP say 20 I have
5 lbs of boost. :-)
I don't have fuel pressure (not available via ODBII)
You can enter xgauge codes to get Trans fluid temp and Oil Temp
they are available via ODBII, but you have to program them in
to the scangauge2 (easy to do).
Typically for fuel pressure or exhaust temp you add external sensors
and with a scangauge2 you need to add analog gauges to display them.
If you go with the edge insight you can hookup external sensors
directly to the edge to read fuel pressure and exhaust temp.
I'm sure if you are interested folks can give you more detail on
which model does this etc. etc.
I have a May Built '03 I don't have a Scanguage I have the Edge Insight and cannot read volts (Not Supported through OBD11 on the 03's) EGT's with optional probe. Need to add a gauge for fuel pressure.

can you post a pic of your gauge mounted up? I've grown quite curious about one of these devices for my 06 6.0L.
What code did you put in for your boost?Mines a 05 and it works pretty good it's a little off but not that much
?I used the one posted a while back by Bismic (I think) I couldn't get it to work but I didn't mess with it much because I have a real gauge on the A-pillar.

ScanGauge reads volts on the 03. Mine works great.
OP: If you re looking for the basic ECT, EOT SC is great and not expensive. It is limited to what it can do though, but it is also way cheaper than other options. I keep set with ECT,EOT, trans, and volts.

Really, Is yours a early built 03. Mine built date is 5/03 and they say volt's are not supported through OBD11 on the early built. I am using a Edge Insight!!! I have spoken to others with an early built 03's and they have the same problem..Don't know why volt's should be the easiest parameter to monitor!!

Mine is an early '04 and my scangauge reads volts.
Thanks to all for your thoughts. Cliff, I am going to mount mine on top of the Trax ll fuel guage for the auxillary fuel tank. I have the Trax ll mounted to the left of the steering wheel on the dash board under the light switch panel. Not the easiest place to see, but it is out of the way and there isn't a lot of open space to mount things on the dash board. You could mount yours with velcro directly to the dash board there.
My rig is a 04/2003 and reads voltage perfectly without any mod's on my Scan Gauge II.
Finally got my pics loaded up for High Binder and others who wanted to see my install.
Search my name and you can find the thread I posted up of what I used to install and how I did it.
Only thing left is making an extension for the OBD2 cable which is just a simple Cat5e cable, very easy to make.
Link to the other thread of what I used to install my Scan Gauge, and yes it cost only $3 bucks or so shipped for the mount 2 pieces of automotive 2 sided foam tape and no more than 10 mins to configure the mount and install it in the truck.
Blend mount is nice....... but its just too pricey for this guy.
I need that cash for boost, fuel pressure and EGT gauges.
