well after 260,000 miles i think my trans is starting to go out...Keeping the RPMs under 2300 and all is well....Hammer the truck or even push real hard and when it shifts the truck shutters, it feels like the clutches are starting to slip for just a second, no free reaving yet, trans is full of fluid and good color and smell.. what do you think???going out???? I am kinda torn or

It looks like you had a good run with that transmission to survive the power you're putting through it. I have 225k on mine, and was wondering when it would go and what maintenance was done by the previous owners.
Did you periodically change the fluids? If so, how often?

usally change the trans fluid appx 50000 miles ...from what i read here, i was lucky to get this many miles and i am hoping that it will last until March and get me to BTS

I was thinking the same thing- all on those big tires too. Any tricks? I hear a lot of it comes down to luck of the draw, at least to some extent.
