well i went out and fired the truck up today after not running it for a month and a half or more, it was awful grouchy about it and had to jump start it.man i miss the ole pig.i think im going to tear into it tomorrow and pull the trans while i have access to a heated shop.
ya, I figured for a few bucks I could be persuaded to take a drive up there. Meet a few fte members and bring a tranny, tc and anything else you need off a 97 psd lol
well i about got the trans out,i had a bolt in the transfer case that was starting to round off so i decided to pull the transfer case attached to the trans.so now i have to take out the flywheel bolts take out the cross member and the bolts out of the bell housing, drive shaft is out linkage is out all electrical unplugged starter is out and the cross over pipe is out.anything else you guys can think of i need to do?i havent pulled a trans in probably close to 15 years
the rubber mount looks pretty new im thinking the trans has been out before especially being that i had to use vise grips to get a rounded off tranny line loose, put all new ujoints in a year ago in both drive shafts they only got about 5k miles on them
