1966 F100 no reverse

1966 F100 no reverse
My grandpa has a 1966 F100 with a 352 and a BW trans. It runs great and drives forward perfectly. But no reverse. Any suggestions? Easy fix or rebuild trans? Thanks in advance.

I am no trans expert to bear with me. If there is external linkage on the trans, could just be hanging up. If it's the top-load, sounds like a rebuild. I have found sometimes that if you lightly release the clutch, they will pop into gear.
