refilling the coolant system

This is my first Ford and first with a sealed radiator. Looking for tips on replacing the coolant when the time comes. Thanks.

Hello i have an 06 FX4 and i have done my a few times.. I have also replaced my T-stat with a 180... this is the 2'nd time i have replaced it with that deg. I like it better never had a prob. Ford puts a 196 in there from the factory. Just drain it and flush with water witch i did and replace with coolent. Fill the tank to the full mark run the truck make sure you have no air in the system. I had to drive mine a 1/2 mile and i was good to go.

Wife's Dakota I had to burp to get all the air out too. Did you drain coolant from the engine block too??? If the whole system is empty, then how fill it back to a safe point before starting the engine??? Thru the t-stat housing? Thanks.
