Well, so I bought a new truck today. I sold my 86 F250 4x4 on Sunday and found this truck today. Its an 89 F250 extended cab long wide 2 wheel drive with a 460. I wanted to get a larger cab and fuel injected, I lost the 4x4 but I hardly use it except in snow and that doesnt happen in Oklahoma all the time.
My new truck, unlike my old one, has been well taken care of in its life and feel much better about this one than I did my other truck. I am curious about a few things with it though. The vin code tool on the site is down and I cant check all about the VIN code, I was curious about the transmission code, it has a code of "K", I can figure out the axle code and everything I was curious what Transmission it had in it. Is it the E40D? Or something else? I would appreciate it guys, also.......the GVW type is listed as a "X259" what exactly is that code for? I appreciate all the help guys.
Yeah, well I took it to a car wash before I took these pics, the right parking lens was already broke and missing, after the car wash so was the head light lens, I will get one at a salvage yard this week and fix it. I really love this truck. This truck has original 89K miles, no doubt about it. For $1650, this was a find.
VERY NICE! I love the extended cab trucks. I have owned a 1986 F150 Extended cab and a 1977 F250 extended cab 4x4.... prior to my 1994. Looks like you got a nice one.
I learned it is a C6, 10.25" Sterling 3.55 rear end, they built this thing to pull with the C6 and the 460, not going to help fuel economy much not being an OD though
