Im going to test FICM. Its looking like that is most likely the problem. I want to thank you all for the info. Just one question, when I tested the glow plugs w/ the info above does that clear anything being wrong w/ the glow plug relay/controller as well?
Something else that crossed my mind that would cause a hard start condition is low fuel pressure. From what you described I am still leaning towards the FICM... But thought I would mention to check the fuel pressure at the rail also...
I cannot answer about the glow plugs... Im sure someone will come along soon with regard to that.
