Someone should put together an email with all of the compiled issues this truck has and send it to him, call the guy out on it. Not that he will repsond to you, but it will make everyone here feel better.
Wow~! What a POS this truck turned out to be! Funny thing is, what do you think the guy would do when you potentially came out to take delivery and saw the truck for what it is? He must be a good talker....though its pretty risky on his part...most guys I know that got taken would deliver an a$$ whoopin to him. Anyone here on this forum close enough to his location to actually see it? Might be a fun trip!
Roger
This is what I love about auto forums- I'm usually never looking on ebay or craigslist- but you can take any listing, post it on a forum, and the guys who actually know things can tear it down to what it really is.
With my current expertise, I'd never buy that it was a show truck or only has 5k on it, but I'd probably end up paying way more than that truck is worth if I was actually interested in it.
God bless you all.
Oh, and by the way, I'm definitely gonna try to email the buyer who bid $19,800 and send him a link to this thread- said buyer deserves to know the truth.
Okay, either I'm not ebay savvy enough to figure it out, or there's no way for me to contact another member on ebay unless its regarding an item they're selling.
I'd volunteer to call the guy but I'm not that quick on my feet, plus I don't know enough about the technical details to really put up an argument with him.
Unfortunately EBay block buyers ID's until after the sale, so there is no way to email them.
Well, either he's gonna learn the hard way that he's getting ripped off... or he may know enough to refuse the purchase after he gets a closer look at it.
Here's a follow-up...he actually did respond to my question about ..."if the blocks are Ford factory installed or aftermarket?" I admit he has a way with words and that might actually get it sold for him-I don't know-I just pity the guy who buys it all the while believing all this guy's garbage. Here is his response:
Yes blocks. The vehicle is pretty stock other than the obvious. Shocks are rancho, I would imagine the blocks are that, but there is nothing else really added to the suspension. This is the model with the big sway bars, they are both front and rear still im place stock, etc. They did it this way to keep integrity and to keep it at under 7 ft as the truck was trailered around to shows, events enclosed. On those type heavy leaf trucks, blocks are really the best way to go unless you are going sky high. Chances of an aftermarket spring ever being as good as stock is "0". This truck has a ton of integrity, not to mention as new. Thanks for the assurance...... but the price is 21K, nothing less. Judge your bidding if you are serious there. The best way to buy the truck is also not the auction... Its with a phone call.... 214-878-3823

This adds another "Quack" to the thread. What do you wanna bet it doesn't sell, even though the reserve is met? Some BS story about being sold locally, etc., only to turn up on eGay again?
